The airport at Kochi will remain closed till Saturday "due to heavy rains and resultant flooding". The runway and the parking area at the Kochi airport are flooded. Train services have also been affected in Kerala, with many being delayed and cancelled. It turned out to be the state’s worst monsoon in almost a century.
Indian airlines including IndiGo, Air India and SpiceJet also have announced suspension of their operations to Kochi.
All flights to/fro Kochi, stand cancelled till Aug 16, 2018 due to runway unavailability owing to flood situation. For cancellations/rescheduling, please visit https://t.co/ofwzjniT1l
