First flight lands at Kochi airport as it reopens : Video

Cochin International Airport - which was shut down on August 15 after floodwaters entered its runway and wreaked havoc to its operations system -reopened around 2 pm today.

Indigo flight 667 from Ahmedabad to Kochi was the first flight in two weeks to land at the Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL). A number of domestic and international flights are scheduled to arrive and depart from the airport on Wednesday.

According to Cochin International Airport Limited, Air India Express flight (IX-442) which left Muscat at 11:19 AM will be the first international flight to land at Kochi International Airport at 4:30 PM (IST).
