Saudi commission fines three telecom companies SR38m
Three telecoms organizations have been given fines totaling more than SR38 million ($10.1 million). The punishments were forced on STC, Mobily and Zain by the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC).
STC was fined more than SR9 million for inability to execute commission mandates, including one to stop a credit limit approach.
Etihad Etisalat was requested to pay more than SR17 million for various infringement, including inability to give expected data to the commission, and propelling prepaid lines.
Fines of more than SR11 million was forced on Zain for infringement that included advancement without commission endorsement, inability to give required data, and propelling prepaid lines. SPA Riyadh
