Saudi Arabia issues new stamps to mark its participation in World Cup 2018

Saudi Postal Corporation has announced the production of new postal stamps to commemorate the national football team’s qualification for the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia.

The stamps include a five-riyal ($1.0) stamp bearing a photo of the national team that played Spain, in a recent friendly match, as part of their World Cup preparations.

The same stamp features a falcon dressed in national colors, as well as the logo of the General Authority for Sport and a picture of the World Cup with the motto “Go on Green.”

The World Cup stamps issue also included stamps of approximately two Saudi riyals each, or just under $0.5, showing the Saudi flag and various Saudi landmarks in addition to the team’s falcon mascot posing as a football player.
