Saudi air defenses shoot down missiles ‘heading for Makkah and Jeddah’
Saudi Arabia's air resistance powers shot down two ballistic rockets that Al-Arabiya detailed were going towards Jeddah and Makkah.
The powers "observed air targets flying over confined regions in Jeddah and Taif region, and were managed as needs be," Arab alliance representative Turki Al-Maliki said.
Al-Arabiya said the rockets were making a beeline for Jeddah and Makkah, as indicated by onlookers. The report said the rockets were shot down close Taif, only 50 kilometers from Makkah.
Bahrain unequivocally censured the terminating of the rockets, accusing Houthi aggressors in Yemen.
The Houthis have terminated many rockets at focuses in Saudi Arabia, including the capital Riyadh.
In 2016 and 2017 the Arab Coalition supporting the Yemeni government said the volunteer army had propelled rockets towards Makkah.
