Qualified expats may get special privilege Iqamas

In a landmark decision,  the Shoura Council on Wednesday endorsed the draft Distinguished Iqama (residency license) Law, giving qualified outsiders various benefits. 

As indicated by the law, the holder of such an Iqama will have family status, and can get visit visa for relatives, select local specialists separated from owning properties, methods for transport and such different favorable circumstances. 

The 41st customary session of the Council, led by its President Sheik Abdullah Al-Asheikh, took this choice. 

The draft law goes for pulling in princely individuals with extraordinary treatment. 

The law conceives that ostracizes should make installment of an extraordinary charge controlled by the Executive Regulations and that an inside called the Center of Distinguished Iqama will be built up for the reason. 

There will be two kinds of Iqamas – One for a boundless period and the other for one-year legitimacy with subject to restoration.

In the interim, the Council affirmed the change to articles 17 and 21 of the Anti-Graft Law and embraced correcting various articles identified with the Saudi Building Code.
