Officials Document Their Experience in Working Remotely, Saudi Ministers

Several Saudi ministers and officials used social media platforms to share their experiences of working remotely and holding virtual meetings as a precaution against the spread of the new coronavirus.

A hashtag was launched via Twitter to encourage users to keep up with their work and to share their experience with others.

Many people responded to the initiative which was launched by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development to motivate citizens to work from home and stay safe.

For his part, Minister Ahmed al-Rajhi shared photos of a business meeting held virtually captioned: "Today, I share with you my remote work"

Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah al-Swaha also posted a photo of a virtual meeting he held from his office.

Saudi officials later took part in the initiative including CEO of Saudi e-Government program Ali Asiri, governor of the General Authority of Endowments Emad Kharashi, and Secretary-General of the Family Affairs Council Hala Tuwaijri, in addition to Deputy Minister of Women’s Empowerment at Ministry of Civil Service Hind Zahid who documented one of the projects that she is currently working on.

The posts encouraged many Saudis to document their experience as well, which reflected the enthusiasm of citizens who complied with the authorities’ directives during the current coronavirus phase.
