Lanterns bring touch of Cairo to Jeddah

The slow down was set up by Zuhair Omar Shami and his colleague Ra'ed after they went over customary Egyptian lamps amid a trek to Cairo.
"We began our business around eight or nine years prior, when this culture was unfamiliar to us and no one recognized what Ramadan lights were," said Shami. "I gained these lights from Egypt and, through my visits, chose to feel free to acquaint them with the Saudi market."
Shami went out on a limb an in what he figured Saudi clients might want and it was a hit, with clients rushing to purchase the merry and pretty lamps.
