King Salman launches restoration program for Tarif historical district
Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud patronized on Sunday the inaugural ceremony for the restoration of the Tarif historical district in the presence of leaders and appointments from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations, reported Arab News.
The program goes for the advancement of the ancient historical city in order to change it into a universal tourist and cultural hub.
It additionally expects to show it among the world heritage sites.
Governor of Riyadh, Prince Faisal bin Bandar, expressed gratitude toward King Salman for his help of the program, which agrees with the fourth anniversary of the king’s ascension to the throne.
