Jail, fine for violators of Umrah regulations

Director of Public Relations and Information Administration at the Directorate General of Passports (Jawazat) Brig. Gen. Muhammad Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saad says, Saudi Citizen and expatriates who are found transporting, employing,protecting or giving cover-up to any overstaying Umrah pilgrim will be detained and fined, reported Saudi Gazette.

During the launch of the Passport Department's yearly awareness campaign on the Umrah season, Saad said that expatriates violating Umrah directions will be extradited in the wake of serving detainment and paying fines. The punishments are multiplied if the quantity of violators are more than one.

 

The Umrahregulation awareness campaign will proceed from Sunday (Dec. 2, 2018) to June 18, 2019.  It expects to familiarize Umrah pioneers originating from abroad with the Saudi Arabia's directions, which don't enable them to outstay their visas. 

The Jawazat has finished its arrangements to serve Umrah travelers and has prepared workplaces at worldwide section focuses.
