How Saudi Arabia’s first high-speed train is helping Hajj pilgrims: Video
Saudi Arabia's Center for International Communication has shared a video on Wednesday that shows smooth operation of al-Mashaer train which is making commuting easier for for millions of Hajj pilgrims.
The video shows that how al-Mashaer train has eased the journey of pilgrims between holy sites. The train has also cut down the long hours of commuting to only seven minutes.
It has the capacity to carry 3,000 pilgrims on 12 bogies per trip, moving between nine stations distributed on the holy sites at the rate of 3 stations in each area.
Al-Mashaer has covered the distance of 18 km from Arafat to Mina, passing through Muzdalifa, carrying millions of pilgrims, since its inception eight years ago.
