High Royal Highness King Salman Inaugurates Projects in Qassim
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz received at Al-Wadi palace in Buraidah citizens of Qassim and inaugurated a number of development projects in the region, reported the Saudi Press Agency.
King Salman had arrived in Qassim on Tuesday and is accompanied on his visit by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.
Upon his arrival, King Salman was received by Prince Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim and Prince Fahd bin Turki bin Faisal bin Turki bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Qassim.
Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, was also present at the reception held at King Abdullah Sports City in Buraidah. The King will launch more than 600 projects worth over SR16 billion on Wednesday, on the second day of the visit.
A visual presentation on the development projects to be inaugurated by King Salman. Prince Faisal detailed the projects, worth more than 12 billion riyals, that were to be inaugurated by King Salman.
The projects covered various ministries, including the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Labor and Social Development and others.
King Salman then departed Qassim for the Hail region.
The emir of Qassim said the King will open on Wednesday 402 projects, covering 12 sectors worth SR12.15 billion. The King will lay the foundation stone for another 199 projects costing SR4.2 billion. These projects include educational, housing, road, environment, water, electricity and public services.
