Floods killed four, trap many in Madinah
Four individuals were dead and numerous others trapped in Madinah because of heavy rain,Civil Defense said, reported SaudiGazette.
As per Civil Defense, the dead included two kids who were nine and six years old, a man and a Yong lady. Various houses in the east of Madinah were submerged and rescue groups were all the while looking for individuals entrapped by water.
Civil Defense added, they got upwards of 76 complaints about the harm caused by the heavy rain in Madinah including 25 electric shock, captures and elevator failures.
Col. Khaled Al-Johani, representative of Civil Defense in Madinah says, various valleys in the region were flooded due to heavy rain.
"We are attempting to expel the flotsam and jetsam on the fundamental boulevards and to evaporate water-logged streets and intersections," he said.
The representative said 40 individuals who were blockaded by water in Rabigh were protected and evacuated to safety.
The representative of the Civil Defense in Al-Jouf, Capt. Abdul Rahman Al-Duwaihi, said their groups safeguarded 23 individuals in the city, notwithstanding clearing three families comprising of 27 individuals.
Large complaints they received they got were about submerged houses, rooftop crumple and a few instances of electric shock, he said.
In Makkah, heavy rain uncovered the bad execution of some road projects and the drainage system.
The city council threatened to sue the municipality over this.
The committee's representative director, Fahd Al-Rouqi, said the district has neglected to grant the ventures to solid contractual workers and asked the National Anti-Corruption Commission (Nazaha) to explore authorities behind the disappointment of the rain water seepage framework.
"The legislature has burned through billions of riyals on these ventures which were not superbly executed," he said.
Al-Rouqi said the gathering would meet on Tuesday with the specialized advisory group to examine the disappointment of the activities and to make the important strides.
