First Zubaida Trail Festival launched in Hail

The first edition of the Darb Zubaida (or Zubaida Trail) festival has been launched in Hail.

Darb Zubaida festival has been launched under the patronage of Hail Gov. Prince Abdul Aziz bin Saad bin Abdul Aziz, who is additionally the administrator of thedistrict's Tourism Development Council.

 

The event  is in progress in Hail's historic city of Faid. The first edition of the festival  incorporates various activities like a camel march,calligraphy, cultural and scientific forums and photography exhibitions etc.

The festival plans to restore the memorable Darb Zubaida as a pathway for pilgrims and commercial convoys departing from Kufa in Iraq to Makkah.

Zubaida Trail, or Al-Kufi pilgrimage route, keeps running from Kufa in Iraq to Makkah, going through the north of the Kingdom and its middle.

It extends in excess of 1,400 km in the Kingdom and goes through the accompanying five zones: Northern Border Region, Hail, Al-Qassim, Madinah and Makkah. 

The trail was recorded among the activities of the Two Holy Mosques program to think about the Kingdom's cultural heritage, executed by the SCTH among its drives in the National Transformation Program.
