Fasting Hours in 10 Major Cities of Saudi Arabia – Ramadan 2018

The cities of Haql and Tabuk will have the longest hours of fasting in the entire Kingdom. The fasting hours in these cities will be around 15 hours and 30 minutes.

The summer which is upon us is becoming infamous for the incessant heat waves as well as soaring high temperatures. In Qassim, Riyadh, Madinah, Al Kharj and Al Ahsa, the temperatures will be somewhere between 45 and 50 degrees Celsius.

Such high temperatures are not safe for people, especially under fasting conditions and hence numerous authorities are advising people to stay indoors during the peak heat hours. People are also being advised to not step out into the heat while fasting as it can seriously dehydrate you in a very short time.

In the region to the north of the equator, the days are longer and thus the nights are shorter during this time of the year. Al Zaaq however also expects the temperatures during the day to be relatively moderate during the Hajj season.

As with all of the Muslims around the world gear up towards the upcoming Holy month of Ramadan, the temperature is also rising with each passing day.

This summer has been noted to be especially hot in comparison to past summers and in some regions of the world, temperatures have broken temperature records for the last 2 to 3 decades.

These soaring temperatures have already claimed countless lives around the world during the last summer season. Authorities around the world are now making necessary preparations for the citizens to be safe and hydrated during the blistering heat that the upcoming summer is surely bringing with it.
