Expats face fines, deportation for failure to renew resident IDs

Failure to renew resident IDs (Muqeem cards) before expiry will result in disciplines as indicated by the principles and guidelines including extradition, Directorate General of Passports (Jawazat) cautioned exiles on Monday.

The Jawazat said failure to reestablish the inhabitant IDs out of the blue will result in a fine of SR500 which will go up to SR1,000 the second time and extradition from the nation for inability to do as such the third time.

The resident IDs (prior known as iqamas) ought to be restored at any rate three days before their expiry through Absher electronic administration of the Interior Ministry or the Muqeem e-door.
