Crown Prince Visits Saudi Railway Polytechnic in Qassim

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, paid a visit on Wednesday to the Saudi Railway Polytechnic (SRP) in the Qassim region, reported the Saudi Press Agency.

He was received upon his arrival by Prince Fahd bin Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Qassim Region; Dr. Nabil bin Mohammed Al-Amoudi, Minister of Transport who is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Public Transport Authority, and a number of senior officials.

 

He was briefed on the training programs offered by the institute to the Saudi students, including train driving, maintenance of signal and control systems, maintenance of locomotives and vehicles, station and passenger services, maintenance of infrastructure and a high qualification of the Saudi students working in Haramain High Speed Railway and Northern Train, in addition to the Riyadh Metro's trainees.

Prince Mohammed lauded a high performance of the Saudi youth in the SRP, motivating them to exert great efforts in line with the Kingdom's future and Vision 2030.

He then took a virtual trip on a simulator for the mining train.
