COVID-19: Saudi Arabia reports 1,993 new coronavirus cases
Saudi Arabia has announced 1,993 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of infected people in the Kingdom to 268,934.
Twenty-seven people have died due to complications caused by COVID-19, pushing the fatality tally to 2,760, the Ministry of Health said on Monday. There has been a noticeable drop in the number of daily reported deaths and infections.
The ministry also announced that 2,613 infected patients have fully recovered from the virus, pushing the total number of recovered people in the Kingdom to 222,936.
There are 43,238 active cases, including 2,126 critically ill patients under intensive care.
Hofuf registered the highest daily reported cases with 194, followed by Taif with 186, and Riyadh with 106.
