Car workshops move, but leave behind the blemish

Although the car workshops in Aziziyah district of Makkah were shifted away from the neighborhood about a month ago, the residents say the residues left behind them still pose a safety hazard.

The residents asked the municipality to complete its good work by removing the thousand tons of debris left behind, causing environmental pollution.

“The municipality should have an integrated plan that will include the removal of the leftovers,” said a resident, who did not want to be identified.

Mohammed Osman, another resident, said their happiness was incomplete because thousands of tons of debris were still left behind in their neighborhood, making the place Aziziyah looks ugly.

He asked the municipality to remove the leftovers as quickly as possible so that their neighborhood will regain its old beauty.
