Grundfos Engineering Day 2018: A Platform For Knowledge Sharing, Discussion And Interaction
In keeping with its purpose and relentless ambitions, Grundfos Egypt, a global leader in advanced pump solutions and a trendsetter in water technology, held its annual “Engineering Day” to showcase cutting-edge application and system solutions for the challenges faced in the Building Services, Utilities and Industry sector.
Now in its 6th edition, Engineering Day 2018, which has been organized consecutively with a remarkable success since 2011, brought together influential leaders of industry, Egyptian authorities & municipalities, contractors, consultants and mechanical engineers from all over the country to live the exceptional experience of knowledge sharing, discussion and interaction.
The biennial event was held on 30 Oct, (8:30 AM – 6:00 PM) at the Nile Ritz-Carlton Hotel–Al Qahira Ballroom, Cairo and featured 600 customers and an additional hall for industry. It provided an interactive forum that all engineers in Egypt relate to, in order to view the latest technologies of all market leading multi-national engineering companies in Egypt.
In his comment, Ehab Eshak, General Manager, Grundfos Egypt noted, “At Grundfos, we do what we say, and we say what we do and we endeavor to do something bigger or better. We create value through close relations with customers, suppliers and other stakeholders; which is why we started to partner with other engineering companies to make this event even more interesting to our customers.”
He added, “From just four partners in 2016, we reinforced our partners’ list with 7 partners for 2018, including Schneider electric, Bavaria Egypt, Reflex, AEON, AristonCavi, Victaulic, and Grundfos Egypt; to promote smart integration between engineering and technological solutions to serve the industrial sector.”
Notably, the event witnessed in depth discussions on several mega projects in Egypt, where Grundfos and other partners in the Engineering Day deliberated on several issues related to the roles and contributions each partner can provide in the execution of the projects.
To new few, the list of the mega projects discussed included: the Cairo New Capital, a global city with smart infrastructure for Egypt’s future; New El Alamein City, the First model of the new generation of the millennium cities; Almaza City Center, a super-regional shopping center; Suez Canal Development Project, a mega project aiming to increase the role of the Suez Canal region in international trading; Galala City, an eco-friendly tourist city located on the Red Sea; and Cairo Festival City, a mixed-use urban community located east of the ring road in New Cairo.
