Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition Gets Ready to Launch with the Appearance of the Canopus Star
The Higher Organizing Committee of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) finalized the form and content of the 2019 edition of the exhibition, which will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of Emirates Falconers Club. The exhibition will be held from August 27th to 31st at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC) and is considered to be the most popular exhibition of hunting, equestrian and heritage conservation.
The Organizing Committee decided for this edition of the exhibition to have the theme of Sustainable Hunting. The exhibition will be held early this year to be before the beginning of the falconry hunting season and there will be facilities in the exhibition where UAE nationals will be able to buy hunting weapons from the finest and the largest weapon companies.
His Excellency Majid Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of the exhibition said, "The 2019 edition of ADIHEX will be unique, rich and joyful, especially under the unlimited support of the UAE leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Falconers Club. We have worked on developing the edition of the exhibition and promoting its programme to represent the directions of our wise leadership and in line with the goals of the Year of Tolerance that we consider to be the focal point of our work. We have also designed the exhibition programme in an innovative and scientific manner.”
He added, "The exhibition is a world heritage and cultural festival that brings together lovers of hunting and equestrian, heritage conservation and environmental protection. This is in addition to its focus on environmental issues, wildlife conservation, raising awareness of sustainable hunting practices, falconry and saluki dogs. We have also paid particular attention to motivating the public to participate in animal protection and welfare. This year the exhibition will witness a major participation of local, Arab and international companies in the field of outdoor sports and trips, falconry and the marine sector, the industry of hunting weapons, traditional industries, environmental protection institutions and the preservation of heritage. All this is in one place for the exchange of knowledge and experience and forging of business deals.”
