ATM and POS Withdrawal limit in Saudi Arabia

Being an expatriate in Saudi Arabia, It is always better if you have a knowledge of cash withdrawal limit of your debit card through bank ATM machine, limit of purchase at POS (Point Of Sale) through your debit or credit card and limit of funds transfer through internet banking. So that in case of special needs you take wisely decisions.

 

MAXIMUM LIMIT FOR PURCHASE AT POINT OF SALE (POS) :

All the banks in Saudi Arabia sets its debit card limit for purchase at any point of sale (POS) upto SR 60,000/- (Sixty Thousand Saudi Riyal) per day, Earlier it was SR 20,000/- (Twenty Thousand Saudi Riyal) per day. This step was taken as per the needs of their customers.

WITHDRAWAL LIMIT OF BANK ATM MACHINE :

  • Any debit card in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is set with a withdrawal limit of maximum SR 5000/- (Five Thousand Saudi Riyal) per day through any nearest ATM machine while the minimum withdrawal limit is set to SR 50/- (Fifty Saudi Riyal).
  • These withdrawal limit in bank ATM machine is set up to 24 hours interval, For Example, If you withdraw an amount of 5000 riyals at 9 AM today then you can withdraw another 5000 amount next day after 9 AM, if you need to withdraw more, then you have to wait for the next day.
  • However there is NO LIMIT OF WITHDRAWAL, If you go direct to your bank counter with cash withdrawal form. 
  • Similarly there is not withdrawal limit for cheques unless you claim it with your Iqama or muqeem identity card.
  • Limit of transferring funds through internet banking per day is SR 20,000/-.
  • If you are using International debit card then your withdrawal limit is equivalent of 5000 Saudi Riyal if your bank international bank does not have any limit.
